Steve Winter Resigns

It is with sadness I report that the club have accepted the resignation of Steve Winter as 1st team manager of Hallen AFC.

Steve feels he is unable to take the team further and felt that work commitments and family life was suffering. He has stated he still wants to be around the club and looks forward to watching his son play in the junior teams. We wish him the very best for the future.

The club have acted quickly to fill the vacancy and are very pleased to announce that we have placed 1st team player Tom Collett in charge until the end of the season. He will be assisted by Kevin Camargo who is also staying with the club. We are certain that this set up can see the season out well and the club can then reassess in May.

January Report by Chairman Lee Fairman

Since the last report before Christmas there hasn't been a lot of football due to the horrific wet weather we have had. The pitches at Moorhouse Lane have been continually waterlogged and up until last week we have been unable to cut the grass due to the surfaces being so soft. This has resulted in numerous games being cancelled for our adult teams and also our junior sides who haven't played at home now since late November. I have never known the pitches to be as wet !!! Let's hope things improve soon and we can get some football played at Hallen.
