Jamie on his

Appointment

I'm delighted to be given this opportunity & can't wait to get started. I realise it's not gonna be easy following on from Paul Owen who is such a well respected figure within the club but it's a challenge I look forward to. Hopefully over the next couple of weeks I have a chance to speak with existing players as well as potential new ones with a view to making Our squad as good & competitive as we possibly can to give us the best chance to be challenging at the top end of the table. I also hope to finalise my management team in the coming weeks with Grantley Dicks already joining me as Assistant Manager/1st team coach.

Sunday 19th May

JAMIE HILLMAN IS THE NEW HALLEN MANAGER

This afternoon Jamie Hillman was appointed First Team Manager, to succeed Paul Owen, who has stood down due to work commitments. The fact that Jamie has been at the helm of Hengrove Athletic for the past eight years, and just guided them to promotion to the Premier Division, it is good news for the club, that he has decided to join us.
At Hengrove he has been assisted by Grantley Dicks who was previously at Hallen as assistant to Dave Mogg.

HALLEN HAVE NO ANSWER TO WILLAND'S PHYSICAL STRENGTH

HALLEN 0 WILLAND ROVERS 1

This final was played in front of a crowd of four hundred sun-drenched people in a temperature of 23 degrees C. It was good to see families, all supporters and members of both clubs mingling and socialising with the express intent of enjoying the day out. As Hallen is proud to consider itself a family club, I found it a particularly nice touch that the Hallen team were led out at the start by Leyton Bennett and Alfie Harrington who are both too young to have started school but looked very smart in their replica kits.

UP FOR THE CUP

Another season is completed, and hopes of finishing the season on a high were dented when losing to Willand Rovers in the final of the League Cup. We must now focus on next season and look for good cup runs in the FA Competitions. The FA have received 929 entries from clubs to participate in one or more of the F.A. Competitions (Cup, Trophy, Vase and Youth).

We will be looking at our prospects when the early round draws for these competitions are made.

Swindon Supermarine who knocked Hallen out of this season's F.A. The Town who had to reform are bidding for a third successive promotion.

Update ; Merthyr Town lost in the final beaten by Hungerford Town 4-1.
